BCI•net™- The premier EDI solution of the BCI community

BCI.net™ provides connectivity through traditional Value Added Network (VAN), Internet and/or Web technologies, enabling the lead-acid battery trading community to exchange mission-critical business documents. Provided by MISG through the Battery Council International (BCI), BCI.net manages transactions for you, allowing you to focus on your core business.

EDI-capable companies can use Internet or VAN technologies to lower current EDI costs or BCI.net WebDX to expand their electronic trading network to business partners with limited EDI capabilities. With WebDX, these companies can take advantage of a Web application to create, send, receive, view, print and manage EDI documents.

BCI.net Solution Interfaces

Internet – an Internet-based EDI service offering on-network translation

WebDX – a Web-based EDI application that enables electronic document exchange capabilities without the need for extensive in-house systems or support

Value Added Network (VAN) – a secure, reliable and cost-effective Value Added Network

BCI.net Supplier Enablement for EDI-enabled Companies
Maximize your current EDI investments in connecting with your vendors with BCI.net WebDX. WebDX is a simple, low-cost solution that utilizes a Web application to connect your company with your suppliers to exchange electronic purchase orders, material releases, ship notices and invoices. Your suppliers will be able to create and send electronic documents, which will be delivered to you via TransLink's Internet EDI network in your X.12, XML, UN/EDIFACT or flat file (UDF) document formats. WebDX also enables them to receive, view and manage electronic documents sent by your company, virtually eliminating faxing altogether. And since Internet access and standard Web browser software are all that is required of your suppliers, you can begin trading electronic business documents with them quickly and seamlessly.

All that is required is Internet access and standard Web browser software. Individual WebDX accounts are hosted on MISG's secure server.

By receiving electronic documents from your vendors, you can:
•  Eliminate manual processes, such as faxing
•  Maximize value using established EDI infrastructure
•  Reduce cycle times with automatic document delivery
•  Improve supplier relations
